Storytelling & Planning: What makes a good video story and how to tell it. Planning the shoot including storyboarding, arranging locations, and interviews.
Shooting: How to use the iPhone camera. How to use an external mic, and natural light. Shooting sequences, incorporating bold images to capture audience attention.
Editing: the basic concepts of editing - how it can amplify your message. How to use iMovie including audio and graphics; importing and exporting projects.
Sharing: putting your content on to social media platforms.

Who teaches it?
Toby Sadler is a pioneer of smartphone filming. His techniques enable clients with no previous experience to create professional looking films for social media. In the past few years he’s taught budding filmmakers from a range of backgrounds, including government, the military, third sector, private sector and journalistic. Toby’s approach is centred around storytelling, a skill he’s developed over a 20 year career in broadcast journalism. Formally a reporter and presenter with Sky News, he's still on air with ITV News, Channel 5 News and Forces TV.
